Ernest Hemingway, The Reporter Years
Bill Schiller recounts the early years when Ernest Hemingway started out as a cub reporter for The Toronto Star. He eventually became the Star'sEuropean correspondent.
It's interesting to see how The Toronto Star really sparked Hemingway's career, and how his history there made him one of the most reputable American authors and journalists of the 20th-century.
I wonder if Clive Owens utilized Hemingway's time at The Toronto Star to get into character for his role as Ernest Hemingway in the recent HBO film 'Hemingway and Gellhorn' with Nicole Kidman.
Interesting - thanks!
