The Lilas Cafe

The Closerie des Lilas (which means a small enclosed lilac garden), one of Hemingway's favorite cafes and favorite places to write. It was close to his apartment at 113 rue Notre Dame des Champs. He would write in his notebooks there for hours when things were going well.

    Hey there,

    I would just like to thank you for all the great posts. Things realy come to live. Eventhough I live not too far from Paris and have roamed the streets very often, I never actually did look for all these "Hemingway spots". I am a big fan of his writing.
