Some More Paris Cafe Scenes
Some shots of the sidewalk cafes - and inhabitants - that were such an elemental part of Hemingway's life in the Paris years. The first photo, and the last two are by Brassai.
Oh! Did you happen to see the excellent PBS documentary, Paris, The Luminous Years: Toward the Making of the Modern? It's a wonderful look into Paris from 1905-1930 and can be seen at the PBS website:
Hello C.K. - how's the yacht? Thanks for the visit - I did see some of that documentary - it was incredible looking at the old films - and the old Paris!

Just as I was getting used to perpetually seeing James Joyce on the blog...you finally update! Great pics! Glad you're back!

Very cool, Paul!
Hi Joe, thanks for the visit!
The second photo looks like having been taken at the Brasserie Lipp; great spot and good food... ;)
Hi Gil, I'm planning a post on the Lipp!
Adore these two photos. Sigh...
Thanks for the visit, Jilly!
